 National Nutrition Month
National Nutrition Month®is a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored annually by the American Dietetic Association. The campaign is designed to focus attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
The Network for a Healthy California—LAUSD (Network) promotes National Nutrition Month each March.
In addition, National School Breakfast Week takes place each March as well. National School Breakfast Week aims to help LAUSD students, teachers and parents learn why a healthy breakfast that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables is the best way to start the school day.
Following you’ll find a variety of different tools your school can use to promote National Nutrition Month and National School Breakfast Week in the classroom, as well as at home. Please reproduce and share with teachers, students and parents, as appropriate.
If you have questions about National Nutrition Month, National School Breakfast Week or any of the following materials, please contact the Network Valley office at (818) 609-2550.
