Students Getting InvolvedSummer Food Service Program

Did you know your students can receive free lunch and snacks during the summer months or their off-track time?

The Summer Food Service Program, known as the “Summer Lunch Program” provides free, nutritious lunches and snacks to youth ages one through 18 at City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks recreation centers. The goal of the program is to ensure children receive at least one nutritious and balanced meal per day when school is not in session.

The links below include a flyer with additional information, as well as list of locations near LAUSD schools that offer free lunch and snacks. Please be sure to share this information with your students, parents and parent center representative.

The complete list of recreation center locations and menus can be accessed at www.laparks.org/dos/lunchprogram/lunch.htm. For more information, please contact the Summer Lunch Program office at (818) 546-2383.
