More

Welcome! Join the Network for a Healthy California—LAUSD in our mission to increase healthy eating and physical activity among pre-K through 12th grade students throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District. Our goal is to motivate children to eat more fruits and vegetables and enjoy 60 minutes of physical activity every day. This Web site is designed to provide everyone – whether you’re a teacher, parent or kid – all of the tools needed to get moving toward a healthier lifestyle!
CHAMPIONS for CHANGE This material was funded by USDA’s Food Stamp Program through the California Department of Public Health’s Network for a Healthy California. These institutions are equal opportunity providers and employers. The Food Stamp Program provides nutrition assistance to people with low income. It can help buy nutritious foods for a better diet. For information on the Food Stamp Program, call (888) 328-3483.

The Network seeks to increase California’s consumption of fruits and vegetables to the recommended amount and increase daily physical activity to at least 30 minutes for adults and 60 minutes for children. To find out more about fruit and vegetable, and physical activity recommendations, visit www.cachampionsforchange.net or www.mypyramid.gov.
